Just want to know if this is a good example of a displacement map?
Displacement map?
Fantastic - very impressive - other teachers on the course were similarily impressed! So far, we've covered Word, PowerPoint, Outlook & Excel in 2007 (am just about to delve into Pivot tables - I think (although maybe I should follow Diana's lead & do database then get an early mark???)
Here is my homework for Tuesday.
I did this one yesterday on my laptop on the Countrylink train using a touchpad!
Sinful Shirt
And this one was actually using a real mouse this morning. And no, I didn't touch up my teeth in this photo. I think the Chinese flag just makes them appear more magically white!
Victoria Peak
Displacement Maps for Tuesday 27 October!
Have a go at the following tutorial then load your finished masterpieces onto this page (don't make the same mistake as Fraulein Pixel - pls make sure you reduce the resolution to the appropriate screen one!)
To be in Wiki is like visiting a new world where the language is the same but people use a diffferent way to transmit their thoughts and ideas. It's worth persevering so that I might be able to communicate with some of the younger folks who have such interesting things to share. I realise I can do this part of it OK but have yet to understand the process. In answer to your question, these class exercises are probably the only way I'm likely to acquire the skill. Frank
All of you are busily typing with confident expressions that make me feel as though I should try and look the same. I guess that means things can only improve. If you happen to read this and can help the old bloke working on A106-02, you're welcome.
Hi
My use of both Wikiing and Blogging will be very restricted as I do not care for either. However I am pleased to know just what these terms mean and by the time I am one hundred (getting closer every day) I may be proficient. I will keep on trying or should it be "be ing TRYING?" Margaret
So, thoughts about Wikiing and Blogging - which do you prefer, or do you like them both, advantages/disadvantages. Think about this because it will form part of the assessment.
Hi Guys
Good to see you still contributing! I think Steve's site he found sounds good. It will be a good way to combine these modules.
Remember, we're looking for a way to show off your fabulous photos (complete with text about them) using New Media Software ie something more than a powerpoint presentation! Of course, you'll have to resize your photos - don't make that mistake re resolution (logo looks much better now the resolution is screen size!) You'll be excited to know we'll be looking at how to change the resolution of a photo next week.
Have a great weekend! Took a panorama of the Shoalhaven River yesterday but the whales were being elusive this morning.
I think Wiki is so much easier than blogg but for me it depends on the mood I'm in really. In otherwords if I'm feeling lazy (which is most of the time haha) I'll use wiki.
